Function / Content

This series consists of plans used within the Department of Lands Planning and Environment as survey tools. The hoizontal control points are points on the ground, the geographical position of which has been determined by goedetic survey. Horizontal control points are selected from the horizontal control points data file supplied by the Geodesy Group of Geoscience Australia. Each sheet shows longitude and latitude markings with points underlined that have alphanumerical characters. Annotations on plans have 1/800 to 10/800 and bottom right hand corner have the 800's written and if other than NT then the state has been added. Note on some sheets For summary sheets of 1st Ord. Tellurometer traverse shown thus: - diagram and see green folder (no green folder accompanied the plans).
